    Bank Of MONTREAL http://www.BMO.COM
The role at BMO was SME for IBM technologies and automation architecture involving migration from Full-Fat legacy architectures to lightweight Low-Fat architectures.
I was invited to work directly for the Bank due to my profile in the industry. Most of the work was liaising with system architects and engineers to migrate legacy technology and design/implement automation for greenfield IaaS and PaaS. The focus was on replacing Complex systems with layered micro services using lighter architecture as provided by WAS Liberty Profile and Tomcat i.e. JEE Web Profile-based container as opposed to full JEE profiles. BMO was a BMC shop primarily, so using products like BSA and AO, and several other Operations and Automation/Discovery Products required integration.

FEBRUARY 2014 – JULY 2014: WEB SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT
    FEDELITY http://www.FIDELITY.COM.UK
Infrastructure Architect for Digital Strategy. This role was primarily a TDA for light-weight architectures and PaaS. Key achievements were Thought leadership and governance for Fast and Big Data architectures and commercial RFP’s; Ensuring an objective traceable process across stakeholders in choosing solutions for the entire web-tier.
During this role, I was part of the digital architecture team to lead the new compete digital stack for Fidelity. This required a complete understanding of the entire web stack layering, supported by PaaS and IaaS programmes. This included Security considerations for data inflight and at rest i.e. PCI-DSS, Virtual scaling, Session Affinity and Session Persistence and high Availability across data centres and technical leadership the RFP for In-Memory-Data-Grids/Object Stores. Complete understanding of the build-pipelines via various CI and CD tooling such as Jenkins, Atlassian Tools, UrbanCode was required.
We also replaced the main WebSphere Application Server ND infrastructure with a lightweight PaaS options. One offering example implemented was IBM Liberty Profile; the other a generic a Tomcat offering.

March 2013 – FebRUARY 2014: Global project governance and Integration architecture
    SITA http://www.sita.aero
My role at SITA was originally to introduce Service-based architectures using SOA and hybrid API’s to renew legacy integration approaches for airport operations management. Due to great success, I became lead for global architecture and governance of several international projects.
Align the core integration to SOA principles and define global re-use API’s, involving the creation of a service catalogue and design an entire new dynamic approach to complex airport integration.
Jointly implemented a new AWS-based, CI-CD platform using Jenkins and related scripting tools.
Improved Integration methods/technology and introduced a formal ICD (Interface Control Document) process
Integrations involved SOAP, Native XML, CSV, Custom Data formats, and many older legacy protocols & systems. Both .NET and Java solutions were incorporated, depending on the client (airport) solution.
Architecture Leadership, insights, encouragement of knowledge management and information sharing.
IBM ESB technology design/implementation using IBM WMB and IBM WMQ, and MS-AD
Java ESB technology design/implementation (Including Fuse, Mule and Spring Integration).
As a side project, I designed and wrote a set of .NET management tools for managing high availability of Microsoft-based messaging working with IBM messaging, something quite unique.
