A brief overview of installing WebSphere Message Broker on Windows.

In this installation I have assumed that WebSphere MQ is already installed. If it is not then you must ensure that you have installed it. If you have not the IBM Launchpad software will inform that it is a prerequisite for message broker.

If you opted to install MQ you will also see an muser_mqadmin user and mqm group, this is slightly different then the unix install.

If you browse the User groups on your local computer you will see the new groups has been created by the installer. the group is called mqbrkrs and will contain the use that was logged in when you installed WebSphere Message Broker for windows.

Use the Default Configuration wizard to create all the components you need to run the Message Broker samples. The default configuration also provides a useful environment to test and debug your own message flow applications. You can run a wizard to remove the default configuration when you have finished with it.

    ----------------------

Create a broker using the command line on the system where the broker component is installed. On Windows and Linux (x86 platform), you can alternatively use the Command Assistant in the Message Brokers Toolkit to complete this task.

You must give the broker a name that is unique within the broker domain. Broker names are case-sensitive on all supported platforms, except Windows.
